Our Program

Helping at-risk youth build confidence and identity through art.

Visible Youth Collective offers portrait-based healing experiences for young people between the ages of 10-22 who may not often have opportunities to feel fully recognized in their day-to-day lives.

Through artist partnerships, therapeutic sensitivity, and intentional storytelling, each young person is invited into a process that says: you are important and so is your story.

How the Program Works

1) Connection

Each young person is thoughtfully matched with an artist who is equipped to begin by listening, learning, and building trust.

2) Creative Witnessing

The artist spends time understanding the young person’s personality, story, interests, and emotional world.

3) Portrait Creation

A one-of-a-kind portrait is created as a visual reflection of the young person’s identity, resilience, and humanity.

4) Reveal + Celebration

The portrait is presented in a meaningful reveal experience designed to build confidence, pride, and self-recognition.

5) Legacy + Visibility

Portraits may be displayed in community spaces, galleries, schools, or special exhibitions that honor the young person’s story and reinforce belonging.
