Create Extraordinary Portraits for At-risk Youth in Your Community  

Visual artists of all backgrounds are invited to join the Visible Youth Collective of Vermont. Applicants must demonstrate a meaningful connection to the state of Vermont, such as permanent or part-time residency, ongoing employment as an artist, regular exhibitions, or as an art student or teacher within a public or private Vermont art education program. High school and college students are encouraged to apply!

The term visual artist is interpreted broadly and is not limited to any specific medium or material. Photographers, sculptors, painters, and artists working across diverse materials and methods are encouraged to apply. Applicants must demonstrate enthusiasm and some proficiency in portraiture within their chosen medium.

*VYC knows that what visual artists do adds value to our community. As such, our long term goal is to commission portraits from our participating artists. Until we reach that goal we ask that our artists consider donating their time and talent to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth.
